Mahalaya & Sangeet
An evening of devotional music, Chandipath recitation and the unveiling of the Devi's eyes — the spiritual prelude to Durga Puja.
Agomoni St. Louis brings together Bengali families across Missouri and Illinois to celebrate heritage, faith, and friendship — from the autumn beats of Durga Puja to the spring melodies of Saraswati Puja.
“To preserve, share, and celebrate the living culture of Bengal — its music, traditions and warmth — and to build a welcoming home for every family who calls St. Louis home.”Our Mission
Agomoni-STL is a community-driven cultural organization dedicated to celebrating Bengali heritage, fostering a sense of belonging, and building bridges through culture, service, and shared traditions. We bring people together through festivals, arts, education, philanthropy, and community engagement, creating a welcoming space where traditions are honored, new generations are inspired, and diverse communities connect.
Through cultural enrichment and meaningful service, we strive not only to preserve our heritage but to strengthen community bonds and contribute positively to the broader society we call home.
From the first hymn of Mahalaya to the bright flowers of Saraswati Puja, our calendar marks the year with the rhythms of Bengali tradition.

A night puja honoring Maa Kali alongside our Diwali get-together — diyas, sweets and stories that bridge generations.

Pujas, music, dance, theatre and language — we keep Bengali traditions alive for the next generation.
